  • TED Talks: The Official TED Guide to Public Speaking

Business, Keynotes, Public Speaking, TED, Top Tips

If you are anything like me, TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) has been an amazing source of ideas, knowledge and a broadening of my perspective on just about any topic since 2006 when the first video was posted online.

Chris Anderson, the Head of TED and TED’s Curator acquired the company through his non-profit, the Sapling Foundation in 2001 and has recently released his book TED Talks: The Official TED Guide to Public Speaking.  As a professional speaker myself, I often get to coach high-profile business people on public speaking and if you are ever called on to speak, Anderson’s book is a must read.

And if you are curious about where TED originated and where it’s going, Boston Consulting Group’s CEO Rich Lesser recently interviewed Anderson for BCG Perspectives on The Power of Ideas and Openness – click on the link for an insightful discussion.
